## What you can ask once Huntr is connected

- Which members in the spring cohort logged no activity this week?
- Send the new data analyst job post to the analytics group.
- Summarize Maria's goals and recent interviews before our session tomorrow.

## Connect Huntr in Elaichi

This happens once for the organization, before any client is involved.

1. Open Connections, choose Add connection, and pick Huntr.
2. Optionally set Share with, then press Connect.
3. Paste a Huntr API key. One person generates a token in Huntr and pastes it once. Everyone else works through Share with, and never sees it.

Credentials are vaulted and nobody, including the AI, reads them back. The connection becomes a toolbox immediately, so you can curate which Huntr tools are exposed, rename them, or freeze arguments before anyone points a client at it.

## Huntr MCP connector for Claude

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Open Customize, then Connectors.
2. Press Add.
3. Name it, paste the MCP server URL, then Continue.
4. Sign in and approve.

On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds it once. Everyone else turns it on for themselves.

## Huntr MCP connector for ChatGPT

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Open Plugins, then press the + button.
2. Name it and paste the endpoint into Server URL.
3. Leave Authentication on OAuth, then tick the risk acknowledgement.
4. Press Create, then sign in and approve.

Works on the web today. The plugin directory lives at chatgpt.com/plugins.

## Huntr MCP connector for Cursor

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Open `~/.cursor/mcp.json`.
2. Add the endpoint under `mcpServers`.
3. Reload Cursor, then sign in and approve.

Set up per machine, so repeat it on each computer you work from.

## Connect Huntr to any MCP client

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Add the endpoint as a remote MCP server.
2. Sign in and approve.

The Elaichi Agent already has these tools, with nothing to set up.

## What the consent screen decides

Only Read is granted by default, which is not enough to call a Huntr tool. Over MCP there is no trusted place to confirm a write in the moment, so the consent screen is the standing approval rather than a formality. Grant Read and Run tools. Think hard before granting Delete, which reaches into connected apps and cannot be undone.

## What teams do with Huntr through Elaichi

### Find members who have gone quiet

Career services. Ask which members in a cohort have logged no applications, interviews or other activities this month, and get a list you can act on before the next check-in.

### Prepare for a coaching session in minutes

Advising. Pull one member's goals, recent activities and the jobs on their board into a short brief, so the advisor walks in already knowing where the search stands.

### Send a new job post to the right members

Employer relations. Turn a partner opening into a Huntr job post and send it to the member group it fits, without leaving the conversation you are already in.

### Invite a new cohort and set them up

Program operations. Create organization invitations for an incoming cohort, add the member fields your program tracks, and tag members so they land in the right groups from day one.

### Report placement progress by cohort

Placement. Ask how many members hit their weekly application goals, how many candidates reached interviews, and which cohorts are behind, summarized from live Huntr records.

### Update member records in bulk

Operations. Correct a graduation date, program name or advisor assignment across dozens of members at once instead of opening each profile by hand.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I connect Huntr to Claude?

In Elaichi, choose Huntr from the catalog and paste in your Huntr API key. There is no OAuth application to register and no client ID or secret to generate. Then in Claude open Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp as the endpoint. Sign in with your Elaichi account and Huntr is ready to ask about.

### Does Huntr work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?

Yes. Once Huntr is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any other MCP client and the Elaichi Agent. You connect Huntr once and every client you use sees it.

### What can an AI agent actually do with my Huntr data?

It can look up members, advisors, member groups, candidates, jobs, job posts, activities, goals and tags in Huntr and answer questions about them, like which members have stalled or how a cohort is tracking against its goals. It can also create invitations, job posts, tags and member fields, send a job post to a group of members, and update member records in bulk. Short, concrete asks such as "list members with no activity this week" work better than long paragraphs.

### Does connecting Huntr give the AI access to every member and advisor in my organization?

No. Every request runs as the person who signed in, so the AI sees only the members, groups and jobs that person can already see in Huntr. Elaichi can narrow that further with roles and restrictions, and it can never widen it beyond what Huntr itself allows.

### Can my team share one Huntr connection?

Yes. One person connects Huntr in Elaichi and shares the connection with a team, and nobody else ever handles the API key. Each teammate still signs in to Elaichi as themselves, so the audit log records who asked for what.

### Can I stop an agent from changing things in Huntr?

Yes. This connector can create invitations, job posts, tags and member fields and can update members in bulk, and each of those actions can be restricted separately in Elaichi. A restricted action is never advertised to the AI client at all, so no prompt can reach it, and reading Huntr records still works as normal.

### What happens to a Huntr connection when someone leaves?

Offboarding a person in Elaichi ends their access to Huntr through every client at once. A Huntr connection they shared keeps working for everyone else on the team. If you disconnect Huntr in Elaichi, it disappears from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and every other client in one step.

### Does the Huntr MCP connector work with Gemini, Codex, Claude Code or other MCP clients?

Yes. Huntr is reached over the same MCP endpoint every client uses, so anything that speaks MCP can call it — Gemini, Codex, Claude Code, Windsurf, Cline, Zed and OpenCode among them — alongside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and the Elaichi Agent. The tools on offer and the access behind them are identical whichever client asks. Only the setup screen differs.
