## Connect OneDrive in Elaichi

This happens once for the organization, before any client is involved.

1. Open Connections, choose Add connection, and pick OneDrive.
2. Optionally set Share with, then press Connect.
3. Supply your own OneDrive app, then approve. OneDrive needs an OAuth app you register yourself, so bring its client ID and secret. One person does this once for the organization.

Credentials are vaulted and nobody, including the AI, reads them back. The connection becomes a toolbox immediately, so you can curate which OneDrive tools are exposed, rename them, or freeze arguments before anyone points a client at it.

1. Open Customize, then Connectors.
2. Press Add.
3. Name it, paste the MCP server URL, then Continue.
4. Sign in and approve.

On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds it once. Everyone else turns it on for themselves.

2. Name it and paste the endpoint into Server URL.
3. Leave Authentication on OAuth, then tick the risk acknowledgement.

## What the consent screen decides

Only Read is granted by default, which is not enough to call a OneDrive tool. Over MCP there is no trusted place to confirm a write in the moment, so the consent screen is the standing approval rather than a formality. Grant Read and Run tools. Think hard before granting Delete, which reaches into connected apps and cannot be undone.

### How do I connect OneDrive to Claude?

First connect OneDrive in Elaichi, then in Claude go to Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp. OneDrive connects over OAuth, but it needs an app registration created once inside your Microsoft account, so an administrator brings that client ID and secret to Elaichi a single time. After that, each person simply signs in to their Microsoft account in the browser and nobody else ever handles a key.

### Does OneDrive work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?

Yes. Once OneDrive is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any MCP client, and the Elaichi Agent. You connect OneDrive once and every client picks it up.

### What can an AI agent actually do with my OneDrive data?

With OneDrive connected, an agent can list your drives and folders, search files by name or content, open a document and read or summarize it, and download a file when you ask for it. It can also look up which people in your organization have access to a file and who the users in your OneDrive are. This connector reads from OneDrive; it does not create, edit, move, or delete files.

### Does connecting OneDrive give the AI access to every file in the company?

No. Every request to OneDrive runs as the person who signed in, so the agent can only see the drives, folders, and shared files that person can already open in OneDrive. Elaichi can narrow that further, for example limiting a team to search and read only, but it can never widen access beyond what OneDrive already grants.

### Can my team share one OneDrive connection?

Yes. One person sets up the OneDrive connection in Elaichi, including the one-time app registration, and shares it with a team so nobody else handles a client ID or secret. Each teammate still signs in to OneDrive as themselves, so their access stays their own and the audit log names the actual person behind every file opened.

### Can I stop an agent from deleting or changing things in OneDrive?

This OneDrive connector only browses, searches, reads, and downloads, so there are no delete or edit actions for an agent to reach in the first place. On top of that, Elaichi restrictions work per action, so you can also switch off downloads or permission lookups for a given team. A blocked action is never shown to Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor at all, so no prompt can trigger it.

### What happens to a OneDrive connection when someone leaves?

When you offboard a person in Elaichi, their access to OneDrive through every connected client ends immediately. A shared OneDrive connection keeps working for everyone else on the team. If you ever want to remove OneDrive entirely, disconnecting it once in Elaichi removes it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and every other client at the same time.
