# Pipedrive MCP connector

The Pipedrive connector lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and the Elaichi Agent find, create and update deals, people, organizations and notes in Pipedrive, with every action running under the signed-in person's own Pipedrive access and recorded in an audit log.

## What you can ask once Pipedrive is connected

- Summarize deals that moved stage in the last week.
- Find persons with no activity on open deals.
- Which users own the largest open deals this quarter?

## Connect Pipedrive in Elaichi

This happens once for the organization, before any client is involved.

1. Open Connections, choose Add connection, and pick Pipedrive.
2. Optionally set Share with, then press Connect.
3. Supply your own Pipedrive app, then approve. Pipedrive needs an OAuth app you register yourself, so bring its client ID and secret. One person does this once for the organization.

Credentials are vaulted and nobody, including the AI, reads them back. The connection becomes a toolbox immediately, so you can curate which Pipedrive tools are exposed, rename them, or freeze arguments before anyone points a client at it.

## Connect Pipedrive to Claude

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Open Customize, then Connectors.
2. Press Add.
3. Name it, paste the MCP server URL, then Continue.
4. Sign in and approve.

On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds it once. Everyone else turns it on for themselves.

## Connect Pipedrive to ChatGPT

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Open Plugins, then press the + button.
2. Name it and paste the endpoint into Server URL.
3. Leave Authentication on OAuth, then tick the risk acknowledgement.
4. Press Create, then sign in and approve.

Works on the web today. The plugin directory lives at chatgpt.com/plugins.

## Connect Pipedrive to Cursor

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Open `~/.cursor/mcp.json`.
2. Add the endpoint under `mcpServers`.
3. Reload Cursor, then sign in and approve.

Set up per machine, so repeat it on each computer you work from.

## Connect Pipedrive to any MCP client

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Add the endpoint as a remote MCP server.
2. Sign in and approve.

The Elaichi Agent already has these tools, with nothing to set up.

## What the consent screen decides

Only Read is granted by default, which is not enough to call a Pipedrive tool. Over MCP there is no trusted place to confirm a write in the moment, so the consent screen is the standing approval rather than a formality. Grant Read and Run tools. Think hard before granting Delete, which reaches into connected apps and cannot be undone.

## What teams do with Pipedrive through Elaichi

### Catch the deal up after a call

Sales. Tell the agent what happened on the call and it adds a note to the Pipedrive deal, updates the value or close date, and fixes the contact's details in one go.

### Find the person before you dial

Sales. Ask for everything Pipedrive holds on a contact by name, email or phone and get their organization, open deals and recent notes in one answer.

### Clean up duplicate people and organizations

Sales operations. Ask which Pipedrive organizations share a domain or which people have no organization attached, then merge details into the right record and remove the strays.

### Brief yourself before a renewal conversation

Customer success. Pull the customer's organization, every deal ever closed with them and the last few notes from Pipedrive into a short summary before you get on the call.

### Add event leads straight into Pipedrive

Marketing. Paste a list of names, companies and emails from a webinar or trade show and the agent creates the people and organizations in Pipedrive and opens a deal for the ones worth following.

### See where the pipeline stands this morning

Leadership. Ask which Pipedrive deals are worth more than a set amount, who owns them and which have no note added in the last two weeks.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I connect Pipedrive to Claude?

First connect Pipedrive in Elaichi. Pipedrive asks you to register an app in its developer settings once, so whoever connects it brings the client ID and secret from Pipedrive, or uses a Pipedrive API key instead, and pastes it into Elaichi; you only do this the first time. Then in Claude open Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp. Claude asks you to sign in to Elaichi, and from then on you can ask it about deals, people and organizations in Pipedrive.

### Does Pipedrive work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?

Yes. Once Pipedrive is connected in Elaichi, the same address, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any other MCP client and the Elaichi Agent. You connect Pipedrive once and every client you use picks it up, with the same access rules and the same audit log.

### What can an AI agent actually do with my Pipedrive data?

It can look up any person, organization or deal in Pipedrive, search for a contact by name or email, and read the notes attached to them. It can create new people, organizations and deals, update their details, add or edit notes, and remove people, deals and notes you no longer want. It can also list the users in your Pipedrive account so it knows who owns what. Because Pipedrive exposes many actions, short concrete asks such as "add a note to the Acme deal" work better than long paragraphs.

### Does connecting Pipedrive give the AI access to every deal in my account?

No. The agent works inside the Pipedrive access of the person who signed in, so it sees only the deals, people and organizations that person could already see in Pipedrive, and nothing owned by a colleague with tighter visibility. Elaichi can narrow that further, for example to reading only, but it can never grant more than the person already has in Pipedrive.

### Can my team share one Pipedrive connection?

Yes. One person connects Pipedrive in Elaichi and shares the connection with a team, and nobody else ever handles the client ID, secret or API key. Each teammate still signs in to Elaichi as themselves, so every deal update or note added in Pipedrive is logged against the person who asked for it, not against the person who set up the connection.

### Can I stop an agent from deleting or changing things in Pipedrive?

Yes. In Elaichi you restrict actions one at a time, so you can allow reading and creating deals in Pipedrive while blocking deleting people, deals or notes, or blocking any updates at all. A blocked action is never shown to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor in the first place, so no prompt, however worded, can reach it.

### What happens to a Pipedrive connection when someone leaves?

When you offboard someone in Elaichi, their access to Pipedrive through every AI client ends immediately, and their past actions stay in the audit log. If they had shared a Pipedrive connection with a team, it keeps working for everyone else. If you ever want Pipedrive gone entirely, disconnecting it once in Elaichi removes it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and every other client at the same time.
