# Refersion MCP connector

The Refersion connector lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other AI clients look up affiliates, conversions, offers, clicks, and orders in your Refersion account, and update them, with each person signed in as themselves and every action logged.

## What you can ask once Refersion is connected

- Which affiliates drove the most conversions last month?
- Show me pending custom fields for our top affiliates.
- List conversions flagged for review this week.

## Connect Refersion in Elaichi

This happens once for the organization, before any client is involved.

1. Open Connections, choose Add connection, and pick Refersion.
2. Optionally set Share with, then press Connect.
3. Paste your Refersion app credentials. Refersion authenticates the app rather than a person. One person supplies the credentials once, and everyone else works through Share with.

Credentials are vaulted and nobody, including the AI, reads them back. The connection becomes a toolbox immediately, so you can curate which Refersion tools are exposed, rename them, or freeze arguments before anyone points a client at it.

## Connect Refersion to Claude

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Open Customize, then Connectors.
2. Press Add.
3. Name it, paste the MCP server URL, then Continue.
4. Sign in and approve.

On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds it once. Everyone else turns it on for themselves.

## Connect Refersion to ChatGPT

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Open Plugins, then press the + button.
2. Name it and paste the endpoint into Server URL.
3. Leave Authentication on OAuth, then tick the risk acknowledgement.
4. Press Create, then sign in and approve.

Works on the web today. The plugin directory lives at chatgpt.com/plugins.

## Connect Refersion to Cursor

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Open `~/.cursor/mcp.json`.
2. Add the endpoint under `mcpServers`.
3. Reload Cursor, then sign in and approve.

Set up per machine, so repeat it on each computer you work from.

## Connect Refersion to any MCP client

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Add the endpoint as a remote MCP server.
2. Sign in and approve.

The Elaichi Agent already has these tools, with nothing to set up.

## What the consent screen decides

Only Read is granted by default, which is not enough to call a Refersion tool. Over MCP there is no trusted place to confirm a write in the moment, so the consent screen is the standing approval rather than a formality. Grant Read and Run tools. Think hard before granting Delete, which reaches into connected apps and cannot be undone.

## What teams do with Refersion through Elaichi

### Catch an affiliate up after a call

Partnerships. Ask for an affiliate's recent activity, clicks, and conversions before the call, then have their record and custom fields updated afterward so what was agreed is written down in Refersion.

### Review conversions before the payout run

Finance. Pull the month's conversions, check counts against what the affiliate program budgeted, and update the ones that need a status change in one pass instead of clicking through them individually.

### Credit an order a link missed

Support. When an affiliate says a customer bought but the sale was not tracked, find the order, credit it to the right affiliate, or create a manual credit, and confirm back to them in minutes.

### Duplicate an offer for the next campaign

Marketing. Copy an existing offer, change the commission terms and dates for the new promotion, and see which promotion methods affiliates are actually using before you brief them.

### Find the order behind a disputed commission

Ecommerce operations. Search orders by the details an affiliate gives you, open the matching conversion, and settle whether the commission was recorded correctly without leaving your chat window.

### Onboard new affiliates without the admin slog

Affiliate marketing. Get the referral link for a new affiliate, resend the welcome email to anyone who has not activated, and see at a glance how many affiliates and Amazon products are in the program.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I connect Refersion to Claude?

First connect Refersion in Elaichi, which asks for the app credentials shown in your Refersion account; there is no OAuth app to register and no client ID or secret to generate. Then in Claude open Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste the endpoint https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp. Sign in with your Elaichi account and Claude can start working with your Refersion affiliates, conversions, and offers.

### Does Refersion work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?

Yes. Once Refersion is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any other MCP client, and the Elaichi Agent. You connect Refersion once and every client you use picks it up.

### What can an AI agent actually do with my Refersion data?

With Refersion connected, an agent can list and update affiliates, pull an affiliate's activity and referral link, resend a welcome email, review and update conversions, credit an order or create a manual credit, search orders, list clicks and promotion methods, and duplicate or edit offers. Refersion has a lot of actions available, so short, concrete asks such as "show conversions for affiliate Dana this month" work better than long paragraphs.

### Does connecting Refersion give the AI access to my whole affiliate program?

Only what the person who connected Refersion can already see and do. Elaichi runs every request inside that person's own Refersion access, and an administrator can narrow it further with restrictions, for example read-only on conversions. Elaichi never widens access beyond what Refersion itself allows.

### Can my team share one Refersion connection?

Yes. One person connects Refersion in Elaichi and shares the connection with a team, and nobody else ever handles the Refersion app credentials. Each teammate still signs in to Elaichi as themselves, so the audit log names the actual person who credited a conversion or changed an offer.

### Can I stop an agent from deleting or changing things in Refersion?

Yes. Restrictions in Elaichi apply per action, so you can allow reading Refersion affiliates and conversions while blocking deleting affiliates, deleting offers, or bulk updates. A blocked action is never shown to Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor at all, so no prompt, accidental or otherwise, can reach it.

### What happens to a Refersion connection when someone leaves?

Offboarding a person in Elaichi ends their access to Refersion through every AI client at once, with no Refersion credentials to rotate. A shared Refersion connection keeps working for everyone else on the team. If you want Refersion gone entirely, disconnecting it once in Elaichi removes it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and every other client together.
