## Connect Tripadvisor in Elaichi

This happens once for the organization, before any client is involved.

1. Open Connections, choose Add connection, and pick Tripadvisor.
2. Optionally set Share with, then press Connect.
3. Paste a Tripadvisor API key. One person generates a token in Tripadvisor and pastes it once. Everyone else works through Share with, and never sees it.

Credentials are vaulted and nobody, including the AI, reads them back. The connection becomes a toolbox immediately, so you can curate which Tripadvisor tools are exposed, rename them, or freeze arguments before anyone points a client at it.

## What the consent screen decides

Only Read is granted by default, which is not enough to call a Tripadvisor tool. Over MCP there is no trusted place to confirm a write in the moment, so the consent screen is the standing approval rather than a formality. Grant Read and Run tools. ### How do I connect Tripadvisor to Claude?

Connect Tripadvisor in Elaichi first by pasting your Tripadvisor API key when prompted. There is no OAuth application to register and no client ID or secret to generate. Then in Claude open Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp as the endpoint. Sign in to Elaichi when Claude asks and Tripadvisor is ready to use.

### Does Tripadvisor work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?

Yes. Once Tripadvisor is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any other MCP client and the Elaichi Agent. You connect Tripadvisor once and every client your team uses can reach it.

### What can an AI agent actually do with my Tripadvisor data?

With Tripadvisor connected, an agent can search for hotels, restaurants and attractions by name or near a place, read their ratings, reviews and photos, and look up destinations and recommendations. It can also list your Tripadvisor feed files and fetch a download link, and view or update entries on your allowlist. It cannot post reviews, edit listings or delete anything in Tripadvisor.

### Does connecting Tripadvisor give the AI everything on my account?

An agent only sees what the Tripadvisor API key you connected is entitled to see, such as the locations, feed files and allowlist available to that account. Elaichi can narrow that further, for example to searching and reading only, but it can never widen access beyond what Tripadvisor itself allows.

### Can my team share one Tripadvisor connection?

Yes. One person connects Tripadvisor with the API key and shares the connection with a team in Elaichi, and nobody else ever handles the key. Each teammate still signs in to Elaichi as themselves, so the audit log records who searched for which Tripadvisor locations or downloaded which feed file.

### Can I stop an agent from changing things in Tripadvisor?

Yes. Nearly everything the Tripadvisor connector does is read-only, such as searching locations and reading reviews, and the one action that changes anything, updating your allowlist, can be blocked in Elaichi. A blocked action is never shown to Claude, ChatGPT or any other client, so no prompt can reach it.

### What happens to a Tripadvisor connection when someone leaves?

Offboarding a person in Elaichi ends their access to Tripadvisor and every other connected application at once. If they shared a Tripadvisor connection with a team, it keeps working for everyone else. Disconnecting Tripadvisor once in Elaichi removes it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and every other client at the same time.
