The Zendesk Sell connector brings your leads, contacts, notes, tasks, and pipeline stages into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and the Elaichi Agent, so each salesperson can ask about and update their own Zendesk Sell records under their own login.

## What you can ask once Zendesk Sell is connected

- List deals that moved stage this week
- Summarize open tasks for my Zendesk Sell contacts
- Which contacts have notes but no next task

## Connect Zendesk Sell in Elaichi

This happens once for the organization, before any client is involved.

1. Open Connections, choose Add connection, and pick Zendesk Sell.
2. Optionally set Share with, then press Connect.
3. Supply your own Zendesk Sell app, then approve. Zendesk Sell needs an OAuth app you register yourself, so bring its client ID and secret. One person does this once for the organization.

Credentials are vaulted and nobody, including the AI, reads them back. The connection becomes a toolbox immediately, so you can curate which Zendesk Sell tools are exposed, rename them, or freeze arguments before anyone points a client at it.

## Connect Zendesk Sell to Claude

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Open Customize, then Connectors.
2. Press Add.
3. Name it, paste the MCP server URL, then Continue.
4. Sign in and approve.

On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds it once. Everyone else turns it on for themselves.

## Connect Zendesk Sell to ChatGPT

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Open Plugins, then press the + button.
2. Name it and paste the endpoint into Server URL.
3. Leave Authentication on OAuth, then tick the risk acknowledgement.
4. Press Create, then sign in and approve.

Works on the web today. The plugin directory lives at chatgpt.com/plugins.

## Connect Zendesk Sell to Cursor

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Open `~/.cursor/mcp.json`.
2. Add the endpoint under `mcpServers`.
3. Reload Cursor, then sign in and approve.

Set up per machine, so repeat it on each computer you work from.

## Connect Zendesk Sell to any MCP client

Endpoint: https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp

1. Add the endpoint as a remote MCP server.
2. Sign in and approve.

The Elaichi Agent already has these tools, with nothing to set up.

## What the consent screen decides

Only Read is granted by default, which is not enough to call a Zendesk Sell tool. Over MCP there is no trusted place to confirm a write in the moment, so the consent screen is the standing approval rather than a formality. Grant Read and Run tools. Think hard before granting Delete, which reaches into connected apps and cannot be undone.

## What teams do with Zendesk Sell through Elaichi

### Catch a contact up after a call

Sales. Tell the agent what was said and it adds a note to the right Zendesk Sell contact and fixes the phone number or title that changed. The record is current before the next meeting starts.

### Turn a conference badge scan into a lead

Sales. Paste the name, company, and email from a business card and a new lead lands in Zendesk Sell with the right lead source attached. No form to fill in on the phone.

### See what is due before the day starts

Sales. Ask which Zendesk Sell tasks are overdue or due today and which leads each one belongs to, then push the ones that slipped to tomorrow in the same conversation.

### Clean up duplicate and stale leads

Sales operations. Pull every lead from a given source, spot the ones that duplicate an existing contact, and update or remove them so reps stop calling the same person twice.

### Check which lead sources convert

Marketing. List the lead sources set up in Zendesk Sell and the leads that came from each, then compare them against the pipeline stages to see where webinar and paid leads actually end up.

### Review rep activity without opening the CRM

Sales leadership. Ask for the notes and tasks a rep logged this week and get a plain summary of who they spoke to and what is still open, drawn from live Zendesk Sell records.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I connect Zendesk Sell to Claude?

In Elaichi, choose Zendesk Sell from the connector list. Zendesk Sell asks you to register an OAuth application in its settings once, so whoever connects it pastes in that application's client ID and secret and then signs in to Zendesk Sell in the browser; after that first setup, everyone else just signs in with their own Zendesk Sell login. Then in Claude open Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp. Your Zendesk Sell leads, contacts, notes, and tasks are available in Claude from the next conversation.

### Does Zendesk Sell work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?

Yes. Once Zendesk Sell is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any other MCP client, and the Elaichi Agent. You connect Zendesk Sell once and every client you use picks it up.

### What can an AI agent actually do with my Zendesk Sell data?

An agent can look up any lead or contact in Zendesk Sell, create new ones, and update them when details change. It can read and write notes, create and reschedule tasks, and list your users, pipeline stages, and lead sources so it can answer questions like who owns a lead or where a source's leads tend to stall. Because Zendesk Sell exposes a lot of actions, short concrete asks such as "add a note to Priya Shah saying she wants a demo Tuesday" work better than long paragraphs.

### Does connecting Zendesk Sell give the AI access to everyone's leads and contacts?

No. Every request to Zendesk Sell runs as the person who signed in, so a rep who can only see their own leads and contacts in Zendesk Sell sees exactly the same through Claude or ChatGPT. Elaichi can narrow that further, for example to read only, but it can never grant anything the person's Zendesk Sell account does not already allow.

### Can my team share one Zendesk Sell connection?

Yes. One person connects Zendesk Sell in Elaichi, brings the client ID and secret once, and shares the connection with a team, so nobody else ever handles a credential. Each teammate still signs in to Zendesk Sell as themselves, so a note or lead created through the connection is recorded under that person's name in the audit log.

### Can I stop an agent from deleting or changing things in Zendesk Sell?

Yes. In Elaichi you can block individual actions on Zendesk Sell, such as deleting contacts, leads, notes, or tasks, while leaving reading and creating open. A blocked action is never shown to Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor at all, so no prompt, accidental or otherwise, can reach it.

### What happens to a Zendesk Sell connection when someone leaves?

When you offboard someone in Elaichi, their access to Zendesk Sell through every AI client ends immediately, and their past actions stay in the audit log under their name. A shared Zendesk Sell connection keeps working for everyone else on the team. If you ever want Zendesk Sell out entirely, disconnecting it once in Elaichi removes it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and the Elaichi Agent at the same time.
