# Switching organizations

> Source: https://elaichi.ai/docs/guides/basics/switching-organizations/

Work in more than one organization without creating a second account. Your Elaichi account is global; almost everything you work with belongs to an **organization**.

**Where to find it:** Top of the sidebar → organization name.

## Switch organization

1. Select the organization switcher to see every organization you belong to, with a tick beside the current one.
2. Choose another to switch. The app reloads into that organization.
3. If public signup is enabled, you'll also see **Create organization** at the bottom of the same menu.

## What changes when you switch

Nearly everything:

- **Connections, toolboxes, and MCP servers** — each organization has its own, and they never mix
- **Members, roles, and teams** — including your own roles, which can differ between organizations
- **Settings, governance, and billing** — configured separately in each

What doesn't change is your account itself: your sign-in method, your two-factor setup, and your passkeys follow you everywhere.

## Good to know

- You can be an owner in one organization and have a narrow role in another. The sidebar changes to match.
- API tokens and MCP servers belong to a single organization. Switching in the app doesn't repoint them.
- An organization always needs at least one owner, so the last one can't be removed.
- Leaving an organization means the connections you owned need to go somewhere — see [Transfer and offboard](/guides/connections/transferring-and-offboarding).
