Connect Cakewalk once

Open Connections, choose Add connection, and pick Cakewalk.

Optionally set Share with to give a team access, then press Connect.

Paste a Cakewalk API key. One person generates a token in Cakewalk and pastes it once. Everyone else works through Share with, and never sees it.
The credential is vaulted. Nobody reads it back, not even the AI.

How do I connect Cakewalk to Claude?
Two steps. First, connect Cakewalk in Elaichi by pasting your Cakewalk API key when prompted; there is no OAuth application to register and no client ID or secret to generate. Then in Claude open Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp. Sign in and your Cakewalk work apps, groups and tasks are available in the conversation.
Does Cakewalk work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?
Yes. Once Cakewalk is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, is added to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any other MCP client and the Elaichi Agent. You connect Cakewalk once and every client uses it.
What can an AI agent actually do with my Cakewalk data?
With Cakewalk connected, an agent can list your users and user groups, show which work apps a group gets by default and which are hidden, and tell you who has access to an app and at what permission level. It can approve or decline pending access tasks, add or remove people from groups, deactivate a user, grant accesses in bulk, and update a work app's policy, permission level policy or custom fields.
Does connecting Cakewalk give the AI access to every app and policy in my workspace?
No. Access follows the person who signed in, so the agent sees and changes only what that person's Cakewalk API key already allows. Elaichi can narrow that further, for example to read-only review of accesses and policies, but it can never widen what Cakewalk itself permits.
Can I stop an agent from deactivating users or changing policies in Cakewalk?
Yes. Restrictions in Elaichi work per action, so you can allow listing users, groups and accesses while blocking deactivation, group removals or policy updates in Cakewalk. A blocked action is never advertised to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor at all, so no prompt, however worded, can reach it.
What happens to a Cakewalk connection when someone leaves?
Offboarding that person in Elaichi ends their access to Cakewalk through every AI client at once. If they had connected a shared Cakewalk connection, it keeps working for everyone else on the team. When you do want it gone, disconnecting Cakewalk once in Elaichi removes it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and every other client together.
