Vantage MCP connector
The Vantage connector brings cloud cost anomaly alerts, annotations, access grants and billing profiles into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and the Elaichi Agent, so each person asks about spend inside their own Vantage access while every call is logged.

How it connects. Connects with an API key. The credential goes into a vault nobody reads back.
-
One address. https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, the same for every user.
-
Their own access. An agent never gets more than the person it acts for.

Two steps, about a minute.
In Elaichi
Connect Vantage once

Use cases
What teams do with Vantage through Elaichi
Every one of these runs inside the access the person already has, and lands in the same audit log.
-
FinOps
Triage the week's cost anomaly alerts
Ask for every open anomaly alert in Vantage, pull the detail on the ones that look serious, and mark them reviewed once someone has looked. No tab switching between the AI and the Vantage console.
-
Platform engineering
Mark a deploy on the cost chart
After a release, drop an annotation into Vantage noting what shipped and when, so the next person reading the cost report understands the spike.
-
Finance
Check billing profiles before close
List the billing profiles in Vantage, confirm which accounts and currencies each one covers, and catch a misconfigured profile before the month-end numbers go out.
-
Security
Review who can see which costs
Ask which access grants and access policies exist in Vantage, who holds them, and tighten a grant that reaches further than it should.
-
IT
Route anomaly notifications to the right people
Create or update an anomaly notification in Vantage so the team that owns a workload hears about its cost spikes, and remove notifications for channels nobody reads anymore.
-
Compliance
Pull the audit log for a review
List recent Vantage audit log entries, pull a single entry by its ID, and summarize who changed what for an auditor without exporting a spreadsheet.
Try asking
- “Which Vantage anomaly alerts opened this week and are still unreviewed?”
- “Add an annotation for today's production deploy on the cost report.”
- “Who holds access grants to the Finance billing profile?”

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do I connect Vantage to Claude?
Connect Vantage in Elaichi first by pasting the API key from your Vantage settings; there is no OAuth application to register and no client ID or secret to generate. Then open Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste the endpoint https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp. Sign in as yourself and Claude can start working with your Vantage anomaly alerts, annotations and billing profiles.
Does Vantage work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?
Yes. Once Vantage is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any other MCP client and the Elaichi Agent. You connect Vantage once and every client picks it up.
What can an AI agent actually do with my Vantage data?
With Vantage connected through Elaichi, an agent can list and read anomaly alerts, mark them reviewed, add or edit annotations on cost reports, set up anomaly notifications, look at billing profiles, review access grants and access policies, and read audit log entries. Short, concrete asks such as "show open anomaly alerts from this week" work better than long paragraphs of instruction.
Does connecting Vantage give the AI access to every cost report and account?
No. Every call to Vantage runs inside the access of the person who signed in, so the AI sees exactly the anomaly alerts, billing profiles and access grants that person could already see in Vantage. Elaichi can narrow that further with restrictions, and it can never widen it.
Can I stop an agent from deleting or changing things in Vantage?
Yes. Restrictions in Elaichi apply per action, so you can allow reading Vantage anomaly alerts and annotations while blocking deletion of access grants or anomaly notifications. A restricted action is never advertised to the AI client at all, so no prompt can reach it.
What happens to a Vantage connection when someone leaves?
Offboarding a person in Elaichi ends their access to Vantage through every client at once. A Vantage connection they shared keeps working for everyone else on the team. If you disconnect Vantage once in Elaichi, it disappears from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and every other client together.
Does the Vantage MCP connector work with Gemini, Codex, Claude Code or other MCP clients?
Yes. Vantage is reached over the same MCP endpoint every client uses, so anything that speaks MCP can call it — Gemini, Codex, Claude Code, Windsurf, Cline, Zed and OpenCode among them — alongside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and the Elaichi Agent. The tools on offer and the access behind them are identical whichever client asks. Only the setup screen differs.
Is Elaichi an alternative to Zapier MCP for Vantage?
Yes. Both let Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor use Vantage. Zapier MCP fits a team that already automates in Zapier, since each person signs in and acts as themselves in that account. Elaichi fits when IT wants one address for the whole company, per-tool rules by role, and a record of every Vantage call.
How is Elaichi different from Composio for Vantage?
Composio gives AI agents tools and sign-in handling across 1,000+ apps, for developers building agents or people using an assistant, billed per tool call. Elaichi gives a company's own people governed access to Vantage: one address, restrictions per role or user, and $15 per user per month. Both have role permissions and a log of every call.
