Attio MCP connector

Connecting Attio to Elaichi lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any other MCP client look up and update Attio companies, people and deals as the signed-in person, with every change recorded in an audit log.

  • How it connects. OAuth or API key. The credential goes into a vault nobody reads back.

  • One address. https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, the same for every user.

  • Their own access. An agent never gets more than the person it acts for.

How to connect

How to connect Attio to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

Two steps, about a minute.

1

In Elaichi

Connect Attio once

  1. Open Connections, choose Add connection, and pick Attio.

  2. Optionally set Share with to give a team access, then press Connect.

  3. Supply your own Attio app, then approve. Attio needs an OAuth app you register yourself, so bring its client ID and secret. One person does this once for the organization.

The credential is vaulted. Nobody reads it back, not even the AI.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect Attio to Claude?

First connect Attio inside Elaichi. Attio requires an OAuth application registered in your own Attio workspace, so an admin brings a client ID and secret once, or you can connect with an Attio API key instead, and then each person signs in to Attio with their own account. Second, in Claude open Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp. Claude will ask you to sign in to Elaichi and Attio is then available in your chats.

Does Attio work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?

Yes. Once Attio is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any other MCP client and the Elaichi Agent. You connect Attio once and use it everywhere, and each client sees the same permissions and writes to the same audit log.

What can an AI agent actually do with my Attio data?

With Attio connected, an AI can look up companies, people and deals, read any attribute your team tracks on them, and create or update records when you ask. It can add a new person and company after an intro, move a deal to a new stage, fill in missing fields, or find records that match a description. Attio has a lot of actions, so short concrete asks like "update the Acme deal to proposal stage" work better than long instructions.

Does connecting Attio give the AI access to my whole workspace?

No. Every request to Attio runs as the person who signed in, so the AI can only see and change what that person can already see and change in Attio. Elaichi can narrow that further, for example to read-only or to companies and people but not deals, and it can never widen it beyond what Attio itself allows.

Can my team share one Attio connection?

Yes. One admin connects Attio in Elaichi and shares the connection with a team, so nobody else has to register an application or handle a client secret or API key. Each person still signs in to Elaichi as themselves, so the audit log shows who created, changed or deleted each Attio record.

Can I stop an agent from deleting or changing things in Attio?

Yes. In Elaichi you can restrict individual actions on the Attio connection, such as blocking deletion of companies, people or deals, or allowing reads only. A blocked action is never shown to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any other client at all, so no prompt, accidental or otherwise, can reach it.

What happens to an Attio connection when someone leaves?

When you offboard someone in Elaichi, their access to Attio through every AI client ends at once. A shared Attio connection keeps working for everyone else on the team. If you ever want to remove Attio entirely, disconnecting it once in Elaichi removes it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and every other client at the same time.
