Railway MCP connector
Connect Railway to Elaichi and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP client can list your projects and services, check deployments and metrics, set variables, and ship changes, all inside each person's own Railway access.

-
One address. https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, the same for every user.
-
Their own access. An agent never gets more than the person it acts for.

Use cases
What teams do with Railway through Elaichi
Every one of these runs inside the access the person already has, and lands in the same audit log.
-
Engineering
Ship a service without opening the dashboard
Ask for a new service in an existing Railway project, set its variables, and create a deployment from the same chat where the code was written.
-
Platform
Keep variables straight across environments
List the variables on staging and production side by side, spot what is missing, and set the right values before the next deploy.
-
On-call
Find out what changed before the incident
Pull the service description, staged changes, and recent metrics for the service that paged you, and get a plain summary of what moved.
-
Support
Check whether a customer-facing service is healthy
Ask for a service's CPU, memory, and network metrics in plain language before telling a customer the problem is on your side.
-
Product
See what every project is running
List workspaces, projects, and services in one answer so you know which features are live and in which environment.
-
Data
Add storage without filing a ticket
Create a volume or bucket for a service, resize it later, and clean up what is no longer needed when a project winds down.
Try asking
- “List the variables on the api service in production”
- “Show CPU and memory for checkout over the last day”
- “Create a staging deployment for the billing service”

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do I connect Railway to Claude?
Connect Railway in Elaichi first: pick Railway from the catalog, click connect, and approve the request on Railway's own OAuth screen with the account you already use. There is no OAuth application to register and no client ID or secret to generate. Then open Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp. Claude signs you in through Elaichi and your Railway projects are available in the conversation.
Does Railway work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?
Yes. Once Railway is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, the Elaichi Agent, and any other MCP client. You connect Railway once and every client picks it up.
What can an AI agent actually do with my Railway data?
Through Elaichi, an agent can list your Railway workspaces, projects, and services, describe an environment or service, read staged changes and metrics, and list or set variables. It can also create projects, services, deployments, volumes, and buckets, and read or update a function's source code. Short, concrete asks work best, such as asking for the variables on one service in production.
Does connecting Railway give the AI my whole workspace?
No. Every call runs as the person who signed in, so the agent sees only the Railway workspaces, projects, and environments that person can already open. Elaichi can narrow that further by role or restriction, but it can never grant more than Railway itself allows.
Can I stop an agent from deleting or changing things in Railway?
Yes. In Elaichi, restrictions apply per action, so you can block deleting services or volumes, updating function code, or setting variables in Railway while leaving read access in place. A restricted action is never advertised to Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor, so no prompt can reach it.
What happens to a Railway connection when someone leaves?
Offboarding a person in Elaichi ends their access to Railway through every AI client at once. A Railway connection that was shared with a team keeps working for everyone else. If you want to remove Railway entirely, disconnecting it once in Elaichi removes it from every client.
Does the Railway MCP connector work with Gemini, Codex, Claude Code or other MCP clients?
Yes. Railway is reached over the same MCP endpoint every client uses, so anything that speaks MCP can call it — Gemini, Codex, Claude Code, Windsurf, Cline, Zed and OpenCode among them — alongside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and the Elaichi Agent. The tools on offer and the access behind them are identical whichever client asks. Only the setup screen differs.
Is Elaichi an alternative to Zapier MCP for Railway?
Yes. Both let Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor use Railway. Zapier MCP fits a team that already automates in Zapier, since each person signs in and acts as themselves in that account. Elaichi fits when IT wants one address for the whole company, per-tool rules by role, and a record of every Railway call.
How is Elaichi different from Composio for Railway?
Composio gives AI agents tools and sign-in handling across 1,000+ apps, for developers building agents or people using an assistant, billed per tool call. Elaichi gives a company's own people governed access to Railway: one address, restrictions per role or user, and $15 per user per month. Both have role permissions and a log of every call.
