AngelList MCP connector

The AngelList connector brings firms, vehicles, capital accounts, distributions and financial statements into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and the Elaichi Agent, read-only, so each person can ask about fund data inside their own AngelList access.

  • How it connects. Connects over OAuth. The credential goes into a vault nobody reads back.

  • One address. https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, the same for every user.

  • Their own access. An agent never gets more than the person it acts for.

How to connect

How to connect AngelList to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

Two steps, about a minute.

1

In Elaichi

Connect AngelList once

  1. Open Connections, choose Add connection, and pick AngelList.

  2. Optionally set Share with to give a team access, then press Connect.

  3. Approve it in AngelList. AngelList's own window opens. Whoever approves it decides what this connection can reach.

The credential is vaulted. Nobody reads it back, not even the AI.

Use cases

What teams do with AngelList through Elaichi

Every one of these runs inside the access the person already has, and lands in the same audit log.

  • Finance

Check a capital account before the call

Pull up a limited partner's capital account, with contributions and distributions to date across every vehicle, before you pick up the phone.

  • Investor relations

Answer an LP question without a spreadsheet

Ask which distributions went out from a vehicle this quarter and what each one was for, then reply in the same window.

  • Fund operations

Pull the latest statements for a vehicle

Ask for the most recent financial statements and supporting documents for a vehicle and have them summarized in plain language.

  • Accounting

Reconcile quarter-end distributions against the books

List every distribution a vehicle paid in the period, with amounts and dates, and compare it with what the ledger shows.

  • Leadership

See every asset across the firm's vehicles

Ask which assets each vehicle holds and how they are spread across the firm, without clicking through each vehicle in AngelList.

  • Compliance

Find the document behind a number

Ask for the statement or document that supports a capital account figure and get it named, so you can check it yourself.

Try asking

  • “Which distributions did Fund II pay out this quarter?”
  • “Summarize the latest financial statements for our growth vehicle”
  • “What is Acme Capital's current capital account balance?”

From answering questions to doing the work

A person no longer has to ask. A trigger starts the work, inside the same permissions and the same audit log as everything else. Automations and live dashboards are launching soon, on the Black plan.

Automations

A schedule starts the LP digest, not you.

Distributions are fetched, grouped and drafted into a digest a person approves before it goes out.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect AngelList to Claude?

Connect AngelList in Elaichi first: you sign in to AngelList with your own account and approve access, and there is no client ID or secret to generate. Then open Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp. Claude then signs you in to Elaichi and AngelList is ready to ask about.

Does AngelList work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?

Yes. Once AngelList is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any other MCP client and the Elaichi Agent. You connect AngelList once and every client picks it up.

What can an AI agent actually do with my AngelList data?

It can read what you can see in AngelList: firms, vehicles, capital accounts, assets, distributions, financial statements and documents. You can ask which distributions a vehicle paid this quarter, what a limited partner's capital account shows, or for a summary of the latest statements. The AngelList connector is read-only, so nothing in AngelList is changed. Short, specific asks tend to work better than long sentences.

Does connecting AngelList give the AI access to every fund and vehicle?

No. Access follows the person who signed in, so the AI sees only the firms, vehicles and capital accounts that person can already open in AngelList. Elaichi can narrow that further for a team or a role, and it never widens it.

Can my team share one AngelList connection?

Yes. One person connects AngelList in Elaichi and shares it with a team, and nobody else handles a password or credential. Each teammate still signs in to Elaichi as themselves, so the audit log names the actual person who looked at a capital account or a statement.

Can I stop an agent from deleting or changing things in AngelList?

The AngelList connector is read-only, so an agent cannot change, delete or create anything in AngelList to begin with. On top of that, Elaichi restrictions work per action, and a restricted action is never advertised to Claude, ChatGPT or any other client, so no prompt can reach it.

What happens to an AngelList connection when someone leaves?

Offboarding that person in Elaichi ends their AngelList access at once, in every client. If they had shared an AngelList connection with a team, it keeps working for everyone else. Disconnecting AngelList once in Elaichi removes it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and every other client at the same time.

Does the AngelList MCP connector work with Gemini, Codex, Claude Code or other MCP clients?

Yes. AngelList is reached over the same MCP endpoint every client uses, so anything that speaks MCP can call it — Gemini, Codex, Claude Code, Windsurf, Cline, Zed and OpenCode among them — alongside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and the Elaichi Agent. The tools on offer and the access behind them are identical whichever client asks. Only the setup screen differs.

Is Elaichi an alternative to Zapier MCP for AngelList?

Yes. Both let Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor use AngelList. Zapier MCP fits a team that already automates in Zapier, since each person signs in and acts as themselves in that account. Elaichi fits when IT wants one address for the whole company, per-tool rules by role, and a record of every AngelList call.

How is Elaichi different from Composio for AngelList?

Composio gives AI agents tools and sign-in handling across 1,000+ apps, for developers building agents or people using an assistant, billed per tool call. Elaichi gives a company's own people governed access to AngelList: one address, restrictions per role or user, and $15 per user per month. Both have role permissions and a log of every call.

Nothing is deleted. Connections, roles and the audit log stay where they are, so subscribing picks up exactly where you left off.
