  1. Open Connections, choose Add connection, and pick Facebook.

  2. Optionally set Share with to give a team access, then press Connect.

  3. Supply your own Facebook app, then approve. Facebook needs an OAuth app you register yourself, so bring its client ID and secret. One person does this once for the organization.

The credential is vaulted. Nobody reads it back, not even the AI.

How do I connect Facebook to Claude?

Connect Facebook in Elaichi first, then in Claude go to Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp as the endpoint. Facebook requires an app registered inside Facebook itself, so one person on your side brings its client ID and secret into Elaichi once; after that, everyone else simply signs in to Facebook in the browser and approves access to the pages they manage. Nobody else ever handles those credentials again.

Does Facebook work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?

Yes. Once Facebook is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any MCP client, and the Elaichi Agent. You connect Facebook once and use it from whichever client you are working in.

What can an AI agent actually do with my Facebook data?

With Facebook connected, an agent can list your pages, publish posts and photos, delete a post, read and reply to comments, and check reviews and posts your page is tagged in. It can also update page details and settings, pull page insights for reporting, see who holds roles on a page, and block a person from a page. It works from live Facebook page records, so a question about last week's reach gets last week's numbers.

Does connecting Facebook give the AI access to every page?

No. The agent sees only the Facebook pages the signed-in person already manages, with the same role Facebook has given them, so someone who can only comment on a page cannot publish to it. Elaichi can narrow that further, for example to reading insights only, but it can never widen what a person could do in Facebook themselves.

Can my team share one Facebook connection?

Yes. One person connects Facebook and shares the connection with a team, and nobody else needs the app's client ID or secret or any Facebook credential. Each teammate still signs in to Elaichi as themselves, so every post, comment, and page change in the audit log carries the name of the person who made it.

Can I stop an agent from deleting or changing things in Facebook?

Yes. Restrictions in Elaichi work per action, so you can allow reading comments and insights on Facebook while blocking post deletion, page setting changes, or blocking people. A blocked action is never shown to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any other client at all, so no prompt, however worded, can reach it.

What happens to a Facebook connection when someone leaves?

Offboarding a person in Elaichi ends their access to Facebook through every client at once, with nothing to revoke in Claude or ChatGPT separately. A Facebook connection they shared keeps working for everyone else on the team. If you want the Facebook connection gone entirely, disconnecting it once in Elaichi removes it from every client.
