How do I connect Wealthbox to Claude?
Connect Wealthbox in Elaichi first, then in Claude go to Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp. Wealthbox asks your organization to register an OAuth application inside Wealthbox itself, so one person brings that client ID and secret to Elaichi once, or uses a Wealthbox API key instead. After that, everyone else simply signs in to Wealthbox with their own login when they first use it.
Does Wealthbox work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?
Yes. Once Wealthbox is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Microsoft Copilot, any MCP client, and the Elaichi Agent. You connect Wealthbox once and use it everywhere your team already works.
What can an AI agent actually do with my Wealthbox data?
With Wealthbox connected, an agent can look up a client, create or update a contact, add a household member, write a note after a call, and create, change, or cancel events on the calendar. It can also read the activity stream, comments, categories, and custom fields, and tell you who on the team did what. Short, specific asks work best, such as "add a note to Maria Chen about today's review" rather than a long paragraph.
Does connecting Wealthbox give the AI access to every client in the workspace?
No. Every request to Wealthbox runs as the person who signed in, so an advisor's agent sees only the contacts, notes, and events that person can already see in Wealthbox. Elaichi can narrow that further, for example read-only for a role, but it can never grant more than Wealthbox itself allows that person.
Can I stop an agent from deleting or changing things in Wealthbox?
Yes. Restrictions in Elaichi apply per action, so you can allow reading and creating notes in Wealthbox while restricting deleting contacts, events, or household members. A restricted action still appears in Elaichi's tool search, flagged as restricted, but Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Microsoft Copilot cannot run it, whatever the prompt says.
What happens to a Wealthbox connection when someone leaves?
Offboarding the person in Elaichi ends their access to Wealthbox through every client at once, and their past actions stay in the audit log. A shared Wealthbox connection keeps working for everyone else on the team. If you later want Wealthbox gone entirely, disconnecting it once in Elaichi removes it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Microsoft Copilot, and every other client together.
Does the Wealthbox MCP connector work with Gemini, Codex, Claude Code or other MCP clients?
Yes. Wealthbox is reached over the same MCP endpoint every client uses, so anything that speaks MCP can call it — Gemini, Codex, Claude Code, Windsurf, Cline, Zed and OpenCode among them — alongside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Microsoft Copilot, and the Elaichi Agent. The tools on offer and the access behind them are identical whichever client asks. Only the setup screen differs.
