Help Scout MCP connector
The Help Scout connector brings your customers, conversations, replies, notes, attachments, tags and team members to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients, so each person works their queue in plain language inside their own Help Scout access.
-
How it connects. Connects over OAuth. The credential goes into a vault nobody reads back.
-
One address. https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, the same for every user.
-
Their own access. An agent never gets more than the person it acts for.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do I connect Help Scout to Claude?
First, register an OAuth application inside Help Scout under your profile's My Apps page and copy its client ID and secret into Elaichi once, when you add the Help Scout connector. Elaichi then sends you to Help Scout's own sign-in screen, where you approve access as yourself. Second, in Claude open Customize, then Connectors, then Add, and paste https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp as the address. Nobody else on your team has to touch the client ID or secret again.
Does Help Scout work with ChatGPT and Cursor as well as Claude?
Yes. Once Help Scout is connected in Elaichi, the same endpoint, https://api.elaichi.ai/mcp, works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, any other MCP client and the Elaichi Agent. You connect Help Scout once and every client you use picks it up.
What can an AI agent actually do with my Help Scout data?
With Help Scout connected, an agent can look up a customer, read their conversations and the replies and notes on each one, draft a reply or add a note, open a new conversation, and download or attach files. It can also list your mailbox users, teams and tags so it can sort and filter the queue the way you would. Short, concrete asks work best, such as "find open conversations tagged billing" rather than a long paragraph.
Does connecting Help Scout give the AI every mailbox?
No. Every request runs as the person who signed in to Help Scout, so the agent only sees the mailboxes, conversations and customers that person can already open in Help Scout. Elaichi can narrow that further with restrictions, but it can never grant access the person does not already have.
Can I stop an agent from deleting or changing things in Help Scout?
Yes. Restrictions in Elaichi apply per action, so you can allow reading Help Scout conversations and customers while blocking deletes, edits, or sending replies. A blocked action is never shown to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any other client, so no prompt, however worded, can reach it.
What happens to a Help Scout connection when someone leaves?
When you offboard someone in Elaichi, their access to Help Scout through every connected client ends immediately. If they had shared a Help Scout connection with a team, it keeps working for everyone else. Disconnecting Help Scout once in Elaichi removes it from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and every other client at the same time.
